Dear Residents of Sangamon Valley Public Water District,

In light of John Kraft from Illinois Leaks – Edgar County Watch Dogs, Inc. - implying the mis-use of public funds for our Holiday Gift Card Give-away, we have sought legal counsel and have been informed that we will be unable to offer the gift-cards to those in need in our community as was originally planned.

It is unfortunate that we are unable to help those in our own community, but we want to ensure that we following the law and staying within the bounds of our corporate purpose, which is to provide quality water and wastewater treatment and services.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused or for getting anyone’s hopes up during the nomination process for these gift cards.
