Sangamon Valley Public Water District Official Boil Order Lifted Notice

We are pleased to announce that the boil order issued on Monday, October 6th, 2025, has been lifted, effective immediately. The Sangamon Valley Public Water District has completed thorough testing of the water supply, and results confirm that the water quality now meets all safety standards.
Affected Area No Longer Under Boil Order:
- All residents of Olen Drive, Mahomet, Il.
Residents in the previously affected area can now resume normal water usage without the need to boil water before consumption or use in food preparation.
We recommend that you take the following steps:
1. Run all cold water faucets for at least 5 minutes to flush your pipes.
2. Dispose of any ice made during the boil order period.
3. Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle.
4. Replace water filter cartridges in any water treatment devices.

NOTICE OF PLANNED WATER SERVICE DISRUPTION

TO: All Residents of South Lake of the Woods Road, Karadan Drive, Ranch Lane, Sugar Lane, and Summit Ridge Road, Mahomet, Illinois
FROM: Sangamon Valley Public Water District
DATE: October 7th, 2025
SUBJECT: Scheduled Water Service Interruption
Please be advised that water service will be temporarily disrupted on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025, for all residents located on the following streets in Mahomet, Illinois:
• South Lake of the Woods Road
• Karadan Drive
• Ranch Lane
• Sugar Lane
• Summit Ridge Road
PURPOSE: This planned interruption is necessary to complete essential water service repairs to ensure continued reliable water delivery to your area.
TIME FRAME: The water service disruption is expected to begin at [Start Time] and continue until approximately [End Time]. Every effort will be made to minimize the duration of this interruption.
RECOMMENDATIONS: • Store adequate water for drinking, cooking, and essential needs • Avoid using water-dependent appliances during the scheduled timeframe • Check that all faucets are turned off before service is restored to prevent flooding
